The Mary-Martha Circle met on March 19 with 11 members present. Nancy was hostess and gave an opening devotional, "The Mother Stood Her Ground" based on Mary standing firm in her faith. We continued the Bible study of women serving the Lord with Abigail, she served the Lord as a wife.

Our next two projects will be making Easter baskets for our shut in members and Confirmation banners for the Confirmands.

Anyone interested in helping refurbish the Chrismons for the church Christmas tree, please attend the workshop on Thurs., April 19, 2:00-6:30 pm..  Come for any amount of time you can donate.

Lutheran Women's Missionary League

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

The Texas District Lutheran Women's Missionary League serves all of Texas except El Paso.

Current Membership:
    • 3,993 members
    • 258 societies in 226 congregations
    • 30 zones

Texas represents a large mission field in itself. The LWML in Texas creates opportunities for Lutheran women to become more involved in Bible study and more aware of the need for outreach to people around them in need of the words of hope that are valid only in Christ.

Friends into Serving Him is a program of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League whose focus is to share the LWML mission and ministry with teens and preteen girls.

The Mary-Martha Circle of Trinity Lutheran Church, Port Arthur, Texas was organized January 19, 1959.
There were eighteen charter members, one of which is still active.

Meetings are held the third Monday of each month (except June) at the Church or at a member's home.

Mite box offerings are collected at each meeting.  These offerings are sent to the Texas District to be used for
mission work in Texas and around the world as determined by the District and National Conventions.
